Skreen.ai is a trading name of Skreen Ltd (Company No. 17292166), a company registered in England and Wales, registered office at 71-75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ.
Skreen.ai provides an AI recruiting platform used by employers to screen and interview job candidates. This page documents how candidates opt in to receive SMS text messages about their job application, for review as part of SMS campaign registration.
For candidates with a US or Canadian mobile number, Skreen.ai does not send SMS text messages unless they have taken an affirmative, explicit action to opt in. Providing a phone number on a job application, by itself, is not consent to receive SMS.
Consent is recorded only after an affirmative, explicit action by the candidate. The primary method for US and Canadian numbers is below; a secondary method also qualifies.
1. Texting "YES" to Skreen.ai's messaging number (primary method). After applying, the candidate is invited by email to text the word "YES" to Skreen.ai's Toll-Free number. Texting "YES" is a mobile-originated action only the candidate can take, from their own phone — entirely separate from, and not required for, the job application. That inbound "YES" records consent, and Skreen.ai replies with a one-time welcome confirmation. The invitation email reads exactly:
"Want text reminders about your application & interview? Tap to text YES (or text YES to +1 855 763 9114) to agree to receive text messages from Skreen.ai (on behalf of the employer) about your application status & interview scheduling. Msg frequency varies, msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel, HELP for help. Terms: skreen.ai/sms-opt-in."
2. Answering "Yes" to the SMS-consent question on the job application (secondary method) — for example, on LinkedIn. This is a standalone Yes/No question about text messages only — it is never marked as a required/essential question, "No" still submits the application, and the answer never affects whether the application is considered, so consent is not bundled with, or a condition of, applying. Only a clear "Yes" records consent; an explicit "No" records an opt-out. The standardized question is:
"Skreen.ai (on behalf of employer) may text you about your application status & interview scheduling. Msg/data rates may apply, frequency varies. Reply STOP to unsubscribe. Agree to receive texts?"
An explicit "No" records an opt-out in every market — including the United Kingdom, where it overrides the default described below. A recruiter cannot opt a candidate in on their behalf: for US and Canadian numbers, manual confirmation inside Skreen.ai is disabled entirely, since consent must come from the candidate's own answer or text message.
The opt-in requirement described above reflects US and Canadian text-messaging regulations. It does not apply outside the US and Canada. For candidates with a mobile number registered in the United Kingdom, Skreen.ai may send the same categories of SMS messages — application status updates and interview scheduling — without a separate opt-in step, because these are service messages tied to an active job application, not marketing. Outside the US, Canada, and the UK, no default applies.
A candidate in the United Kingdom can still decline text messages at any time: by replying STOP to any message (see below), by answering "No" to the screening question above if the employer includes it, or by telling their recruiter they'd prefer not to receive texts.
Message types: application status updates and interview scheduling confirmations and reminders.
Message frequency: varies with application/interview activity — typically 1–10 messages during an active hiring process.
Message and data rates may apply.
Reply STOP to any message to opt out immediately; you'll receive a one-time confirmation and no further messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact support@skreen.ai.
Only the candidate can opt back in — by replying START or UNSTOP to the same number. Skreen.ai does not, and cannot, re-enable messages to a number that has opted out on the candidate's behalf.
No mobile information — including SMS opt-in consent or phone numbers collected for text messaging opt-in — is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
